About Frödinge Hällerum

Where future and tradition meet since 1912

Who we are

We are a family-owned sawmill company for forest owners in northeastern Småland and southern Östergötland with end customers in Sweden and on export markets.

Our raw material purchases are made within an average radius of 5 miles, so we have the raw material more or less on the doorstep of our sawmills. Proximity and knowledge of the forest give us the best conditions to make long-term decisions together with landowners and end customers that benefit the forest, the landowner and the timber consumer.

What we do

Our strength is that we can use the great flexibility of a small company. We buy the raw material ourselves, saw and process it at our own sawmills and planing lines. We also manufacture raw chipboard shutters and subcontracted planers.

When the raw material from the forest meets our industry, it is with humility about the fact that it has grown for decades in the forest before it reaches us. Therefore, we do our utmost to decompose each log in the most optimal and customized way possible.
The products we make are central to our ability to phase out fossil products and secure a sustainable future for future generations.

Via our boiler, which is fired with our by-products at Frödinge Sawmill, we also supply local heating to the community of Frödinge.

How we think

Our philosophy is that logging is not the end of a tree - it is only the beginning. We also arrange for replanting so that future generations can enjoy and benefit from the forest as much as we do. It is a privilege for us to process forest owners' timber, where only our customers' imagination sets the limits. Long-term relationships with our raw material suppliers and timber customers are crucial if we are to deliver high-quality timber to the market year after year. That's why we work long-term in all our relationships, through both good and tough times.
