The solar park is taking shape, but first...

...it needs clearing!

And there we are happy to be part of the work together with our talented contractors Långbrössle Skogsstjänst, Br. Ekström, Nilssons Flis and Jonas Johansson.

The solar park in Hultsfred is a multi-million euro project financed by H&M, Neoen and Alight. It will be Sweden's largest facility with an area of 144 hectares that will generate an installed capacity of 90MWh. Enough to power 26,000 homes!

Our job is to clear bushes and take down forest to make room for the panels. Everything is of course done according to a carefully designed nature conservation plan. In some areas, sallow, juniper bushes, pine, birch and oak stumps are saved. Rice piles are also left behind to provide nesting sites for birds.

The airfield turned out to be an interesting place with high nature values, where, for example, species usually found only on Öland have been found. Of course, areas with particularly high natural values are excluded. It is even believed that the solar park can make the area even more species-rich as the shade from the panels will benefit plant and animal life. Win-win-win: renewable electricity, higher species richness and raw material from the forest to be used!

The plant is scheduled to be energized in March 2025.
